Sign Up to ESAS

A member of the senior leadership team needs to register an account on behalf of their school, because their leadership and permission are needed for the vast majority of Equally Safe at School (ESAS) activities.

Register for an account

Once an account has been set up, you will receive an automated email confirming your log in details and temporary password. This will provide access to MyESAS: a dashboard containing all the resources needed to implement the intervention.

Privacy

Schools registering for an ESAS account will be asked to accept the following data sharing agreement. This explains key details including what data may be processed by the ESAS website, the purpose and lawful basis for processing it, and which organisations are involved in processing, with reference to the Data Protection Act 2018.

You can read Rape Crisis Scotland’s general privacy notice here.

Getting Started

The ESAS web platform has been developed to make it as easy as possible for schools to navigate. The Senior Lead’s Dashboard section allows school leaders to maintain a clear oversight of their school’s progress: they can plan and schedule activities, map progress, and easily lift information for reporting and planning (eg. Standards and Quality Reports, HGIOS Self-Assessment Reports and School Improvement Plans).

One of the first tasks is to begin informing the school community about ESAS and to set up individual ‘staff’ accounts for all staff in your school. These processes are straight forward, and the dashboard contains guidance on how to do this along with templates for ease.

‘Staff’ accounts do not have access to the Senior Lead’s section of the dashboard, however they will be able to view the progress tracker. Once staff accounts have been created, they will gain access to teaching resources, the ESAS e-learning module and a range of other ESAS resources and templates to support them to promote gender equality and challenge gender-based violence in school.
